Decision Support Service Video Presentation for Financial Professionals

We have produced a new video presentation aimed at financial professionals which gives lots of information on our new service and the Assisted Decision Making (Capacity) Act 2015.

The presentation delivered by DSS Director, Áine Flynn, first gives a detailed background to the new legislation and the DSS. It provides information on the guiding principles and the different tiers of support available for people. The video presentation also focuses on advance planning covering an Enduring Power of Attorney and advance healthcare directives.

The video then finishes with specific information for financial professionals on how they can prepare for the commencement of the Act and the opening of the doors of the DSS in June 2022.
