As the 2015 Act is now commenced, no new applications can be made to have a person made a ward of court. The wardship system will continue to operate for a transitional period of three years in order to manage current adult wards’ cases.
During the transitional period the Office of Wards of Court:
- will review all adult wards’ cases
- will ensure that each review will be completed before the end of the transitional period
