Who can make an objection?

Only certain people can make objections about a co-decision-making agreement.

Notice parties

When you apply to register or change a co-decision-making agreement you must tell certain people and give them a copy of the agreement. This includes your spouse, civil partner or co-habitant, adult children and any other decision supporters you have.

These people are called notice parties. Notice parties can make an objection to the arrangement.

What if you are not allowed to make an objection?

If you are not a person who is allowed to make an objection, you can still get in touch with any concerns about the content of the decision support arrangement or suitability of the supporter. If the arrangement has been registered, you may also be able to make a complaint.
